Hosmer Lake - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 66 ° F
  • Fishing: Good
The snow is gone and the fish are hungry. Damsel and callibaetis are the main two items on the menu but try a top banana or a prince on an intermediate line for some good fishing.

Fall River - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 70 ° F
  • Fishing: Good
As always, our little gem of a spring creek is in perfect shape when other rivers are high and off color.
PMD's and terrestrials are best now but have some Green Drakes, Caddis and Midges too, along with a good selection of nymphs to match the above metioned flies and even a streamer or two to fish in some of the pools or along the undercuts.

Deschutes River - Upper - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 70 ° F
  • Fishing: Great
We've been fishing and guiding the Upper and having some great fishing. Green Drakes are hatching in some areas here than on the Metolius at the moment. PMD's and Caddis are also strong with hatches occuring daily. Don't forget your ant patterns on the Upper river and bring some good nymphs for non hatch times or try an attractor dry like a Princess Di or Rubber Leg Trude. In some areas streamers are also quite good.
While the Middle and Lower Deschutes went crazy with High Water, they actually lowered the Upper flows to hold water back in the reservoirs for storage so it is in perfect shape now.

Deschutes River - Middle - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 72 ° F
  • Fishing: Fair
Just coming back from high water the last 6 days. PMD's, Pale Evening Duns and Caddis are on. Now would be a good time to chuck a big, hairy streamer for the big browns who will be out looking for food after the high water.

Davis Lake - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 64 ° F
  • Fishing: Fair
Not as good as normal but fly fisher's who get a very early start or who can stay until dark will have better luck than those out late morning or mid day. Especially for Bass.
There have been huge callibaetis hatches going on. Look for trout feeding in the flats on duns.
Watch for a suprising amount of bass out on the flats in the middle of the lake too. Try wind drifting a bugger for these fish.

Crane Prairie Reservoir - June 8th, 2010
  • Recorded:
  • Mostly sunny
  • 64 ° F
  • Fishing: Good
Good fishing around the Rock Creek and Quinn River channel areas on Callibaetis, Damsels and Leeches. Chironomid fishing under an indicator is also productive.
